Profile

Telecommunications engineer with nine years in industrial control, writing IEC 61131-3 for machines that run food and pharmaceutical packaging lines. Equally at home in full-stack web development: I design, build, deploy and operate Node.js and Vue applications that run in production on infrastructure I maintain myself. Comfortable in regulated environments, and drawn to the problems where the two halves meet — machines that need software, and software that has to be as reliable as a machine.

  • Rebuilt a public site whose single-page front end went blank when the API behind it disappeared; back online in under three weeks.
  • Custom block theme written from scratch in ten languages, including Cyrillic and right-to-left layouts, integrated with the PMS above; reproducible local environment and repeatable content seeding.
